⚠️ Recycling rate has fallen steeply from 52% in 2018. Rising e-commerce packaging, high logistics costs, and weakened commodity prices are key factors. NEA is prioritising paper recycling improvements.

Plastics

🔴 Singapore's lowest recycling rate. Most plastic is incinerated. The Beverage Container Return Scheme launching April 2026 aims to boost plastic recycling rates significantly.
